Yes, and there is no paid tier behind it. Every poem, every translation, the full dictionary, فال حافظ, unlimited bookmarks, search, dark mode and offline access are free.

There is no in-app purchase, no subscription, no trial period and no nag screen. The app ships without any purchasing code in it at all.

There is no advertising and no analytics, so there is no catch in the usual sense — you are not the product because nothing about you is being collected or sold.

Bayan does not need to send your reading anywhere: the whole library is on your phone and the app works in airplane mode.

An earlier plan capped free bookmarks at 20 and sold the rest as a lifetime unlock. That cap is gone, and nothing replaced it.

One, and it is not about money. Literary analyses are capped at 10 per day, because each is generated fresh for the poem you are reading and costs real compute.

The cap applies to everyone equally. Everything else in the app is unlimited.

That is the intent. Bayan is built by one person as a labour of love rather than a business, and the running costs are small because the app is offline by design.
